Patrick Wayne "Pat" Hamlin, a retired sheriff's deputy and longtime resident of Kingston Springs, passed away on April 29, 2021 at the age of 67.

Patrick was born on March 24, 1954 to the late Joel Wayne and Elizabeth Brooks Hamlin in Memphis, TN. After Patrick graduated from Blytheville High School in 1972, he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at Arkansas State University.

Patrick lived an adventurous and interesting youth as he learned to scuba dive and skydive, rode his motorcycle across the country, and even owned his own plane. He started working for Ingram Barge Company during college and proudly earned his Co-Pilot's License for the Merchant Marines. Patrick proceeded to work at Comdata Services traveling the country where he was able to visit all 48 contiguous states and continued this love of traveling with his wife.

Patrick started as a 911 Dispatcher, going on to graduate from the Law Enforcement Academy. Patrick served as a road deputy and retired as the Day Shift Sergeant for the Cheatham County Sheriff's Department for 24 years. He took great pride and responsibility in his career and role to the community.

Patrick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and intellect, but most of all, his wonderful sense of humor. Patrick was the king of "Dad" jokes. His greatest love was his family.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Toni; his children, Dallas (Crystal) Hamlin (Columbus, OH) and Dalton (Hannah Slayton) Hamlin (Lebanon, TN); his mother, Elizabeth Brooks Hamlin (Steele, MO); his sisters, Pamela Lorene Smith (Traverse City, MI) , Paula (Mark) Payne (Blytheville, AR), and Priscilla Bullard (Fairview, TN). Brother and Sister in law Steve (Rhonda) Fondaw; Mother in Law Louise Fondaw all of Fairview TN. Several nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held at Pegram Church of Christ, 5019 Walkup Road Pegram, TN on Sunday, May 2, 2021, beginning at 3p.m. and service beginning at 5p.m. Services were conducted by Minister Jason Allison. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pegram Church of Christ.

William Eugene Buttrey passed away on May 8, 2021 at his home in Fairview. William was born and raised in Fairview, TN. William lived in Fairview his entire life, except for the time he served in the Army.

He quit high school and joined the Army not long after. He obtained his GED while in the Army. William served in Korea and in the Viet Nam war. When he came home from Viet Nam, he went to Trevecca Nazarene College. He graduated in three years, simultaneously going to school full time, working three jobs, and taking care of his family.

William began teaching at Nolensville Elementary, and then taught at Fairview High School. At Fairview, he taught English, Woodworking, and Drafting. At FHS, he coached basketball and football. He later announced football games and basketball games, he was the Pep Club sponsor. He directed many school plays. He wrote the script and songs for the school play "It's Useless" and directed it himself. Many former students call him their favorite teacher, He loved to joke and laugh with students and faculty, alike. It was common for him to play pranks or help with pranks, He was in charge of the Homecoming Parade.

He and his wife owned Woods and Flowers gift shop in Fairview. He built custom "country" cabinets and furniture. He made silk flower arrangements along with being a DJ at WIZO radio station.

Upon his retirement, he began working with a Southern Baptist Convention volunteer missions group called Campers on Mission. With his wife, Ruby, he served on short-term missions in Florida, Bryson City, North Carolina, Iaeger, West Virginia, and Gulf Shores, Alabama. William was an ordained minister and preached sermons and officiated many weddings and funerals.

William loved to sing and play guitar, loved 1950s rock n' roll, old country music, and southern gospel music. He used his God-given talents to entertain and minister to audiences his entire life, he loved to sing and play guitar. He loved 1950s rock n' roll, old country music, and southern gospel music. William loved his family and would do anything for them, He never met a stranger.

William is survived by his wife Ruby Buttery, Daughters Jenifer (Micky) Davenport, Valarie (Edward) Person, grandchildren Tisa and Miriam, sisters Madeline Sullivan, Eloise Buttrey, Dorothy Lampley and brother Ronald (Janice) Buttrey and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday May 11,2021 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home from 3-8.

Kristin Leigh Arterburn, age 41 of Nashville, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Gathering of Friends will be Monday, May 10th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Miss Arterburn was born March 20, 1980 in Hendersonville. She is survived by mother Cindy Clariday Hill (Rev. Dr. Ted Hill) of Gallatin; grandmother, Sue Clariday of Gallatin; sisters, Jennifer Hill Carter (Aaron) of Georgia, Amanda Hill Martin (Rick) of Georgia, and Katherine Hill Long of Nashville; aunt, Luanne Kerley (David) of Gallatin; and uncle, James Clariday, Jr of Gallatin.
