Stephanie Lynne Bruce, age 59 of Fairview, passed away on March 19, 2021.



Stephanie loved her family and friends. Her grandsons were the light of her life. She enjoyed collecting dolls and being the life of the party. Stephanie was the first quadriplegic in Tennessee to get her driver's license. She was such an inspiration to many.



She went back to school and received her master's degree in social work. Stephanie worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for many years. She helped veterans with an opportunity for higher education and job placement.



Preceded in death by sister, Sharon Rowe Powell; father Don Cook; best friend LaVonna Worsham; fur baby Debo.



Survived by her mother Sylvia Cook Witt; spouse Tom Bruce; daughters, Briana Bruce, Kelly (Tyler) Merryman; grandsons, Bryson Merryman (10), Mason Merryman (8), Dale Bruce (3); birth father Glenn Rowe; half-sister Dawn Rowe (James) Pierce; half-brother Glenn David Rowe; and a slew of other family members and friends.



Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 4 — 8 p.m. and March 25, 1:30 – 2:30 pm with a celebration of life at 2:30 all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN, 37221.
