Miller Grantham, age 94 of Dickson, TN, and formerly of Portland, TN, and Welsh, LA, died on July 3, 2021.

Mr. Grantham was born May 11, 1927, in Middleton, TN. He was a son of the late John Miller Grantham and Mary Roberta Norton Grantham. He was a Veteran of the US Army attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a retired measurement specialist for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company. Following retirement, he had his own business, Mid-State Meters, where he serviced, repaired, and replaced natural gas meters for several towns and cities throughout Middle Tennessee. He was a charter member of Burns Baptist Church; and at the time of his death, was the oldest living member.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Inez Peaks Grantham; and his sisters, Mary Penn and JoAnn Grantham.

Mr. Miller Grantham is survived by his 2 sons, Steve Grantham (Renee) of Lake Charles, LA, and Charlie Grantham (Vicki) of Dickson, TN; brother, Billy Grantham of Bartlett, TN; 3 sisters, Ona Bonds of Ashland, Virginia, Edie Rowland of Collierville, TN, and Jean (Donald) Palmer of Bartlett, TN; 5 grandchildren, Brandy Grantham and Laura Grantham of Lake Charles, Louisiana, J. D. Grantham of Dickson, TN, Rachel Grantham of Gulfport, MS, Sarah (Ashton) Hicks of Fairview, TN; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, July 12, at Noon at the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Terlecki of Burns Baptist Church officiating. Place of rest is in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Burns Baptist Church.
