James Lawrence Cook, Obituary

James Lawrence Cook, Jr., age 72, of Bon Aqua, TN, passed away March 28, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.



James was born January 6, 1948 in Dickson County, TN, to the late Robert Lee Sr. and Clattie Marie (Christy) Cook.



He is survived by his wife Marjorie Cook of Dickson, TN; three sons, James Robert Cook of Bon Aqua, TN, Shaun Cook of Nashville, TN, and Adam (Jessica) Cook of Nashville, TN; four daughters, Shelley Marie (Justin) Anderson of Centerville, TN, Lee Ann Cook (Michael Stokes) of McEwen, TN, Marie Mealer of Ashland City, TN, and Patricia (Johnny) Wagner of Kentucky; five brothers, Randy Cook of White Bluff, TN, Charles Cook of Ashland City, TN, Dennis Cook of Charlotte, TN, Johnny (Margaret) Cook of Ashland City, TN, and Larry (Genine) Cook of White Bluff, TN; three sisters, Peggy (Jessie) Henry of Ashland City, TN, Barbara (Jerry) Carney of Joelton, TN, and Mary (Clarence) Henry of Bon Aqua, TN; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.



In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife and mother of his children, Marilyn Lee Cook; and two brothers, Robert Cook Jr., and Steve Cook.



Visitation with the family was Thursday, April 1, at Faith Baptist Church, 910 Faith Rd, Burns, TN, at 2 until 8 p.m., and resumed on Friday, April 2, at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral service was Friday, April 2, at Faith Baptist Church, 910 Faith Rd, Burns, TN, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Dennie Boren officiating, with burial following at Nosegay Cemetery in White Bluff, TN.
