Frances (Frankie) Jane Walker Bourgoyne passed from this life on August 16, 2021. Frankie was born December 27, 1931 the 6th child of Anson James and Charlotte Searle Walker, in Pontiac, Michigan.

Frankie married Ira Bourgoyne in 1959. They lived in the Pontiac area for 40 years. Frankie was employed by the school system and very active in her church and community work. Frankie loved to tell stories about the children that were served by her local church. However, Frankie's most important job was raising 5 children and all their pets.

When Ira retired from GM they moved to Fairview, Tennessee. Frankie helped start a new women's group at Westview United Methodist Church, she and Ira were faithful volunteers for the Meals on Wheels program and both were active members of the Funsters Group at Westview. Frankie enjoyed doing cross stitching, embroidery and sewing. Her house was full of all the beautiful things her hands created.

Frankie is survived by her husband Ira (Fairview), son David (Jan) of Greer, South Carolina, daughter Rebecca (Hank) Bonga of Rapid River, Michigan, son Eric of Fairview, son Paul (Shelia) of Oxford, Michigan, sister Gloria Lewis (Ed) of Cottonwood, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debra Mellendorf and Debra's husband David, grandson Eric Mellendorf and 5 siblings.

Frankie leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Westview United Methodist Church September 25, 2021 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis 38105 or stjude.org/donatetoday in Frankie's name.
