Dorothy Sullivan Jones, age 91, of Fairview, TN, passed away September 9, 2023. She was born in Williamson County to the late Mary Ione and Charlie Gray Sullivan on August 6, 1932.

Mrs. Jones was a loving wife and mother, and accepting of all. She was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading, puzzle working, yarn crafts, and researching local genealogy. She loved teaching others what she knew. As a pioneering member of her Home Demonstration Club, she helped bring the first library to her community. Throughout her life, she was a supporter of her children's and grandchildren's clubs, sports, and activities. Her greatest joy was family gatherings and for everyone to HAVE FUN!

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, William Reed Jones; granddaughter Corene Jones; brother R. Clyde Sullivan. She is survived by her loving children, Billy Reed Jones (Barbara), Royce G. Jones (Kitty), Stella Rogers (Terry Joe), Myra Cato, Cynthia Nutt (John), Owen A. Jones (Kathy), and Mona White (Tracy); 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister Celia Brown (Danny); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 15th at Dickson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview, TN.

Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00pm Thursday, September 14th, and 11:00am-1:00pm on Friday, September 15th at Dickson Funeral Home, 209 East College Street, Dickson, TN, 37055. 615-446-2313.
