Alton Douglas Sullivan was born on May 28, 1926, in Williamson County, Tennessee, and passed away on June 9, 2021, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 95 years old.



He is the son of the late Mosie D. Sullivan and Fannie Olla Walker Sullivan.



He was also preceded in death by his wife Virginia Ruth Forehand Sullivan.



Alton is survived by his daughter Rita Sullivan Gaskins (Thomas) of Indian Springs, AL; son Jerry Sullivan; granddaughters, Jennifer Hamby (Jesse), Stephanie Sullivan, Amy Hatcher (Cary), and Rebecca Gay (Austin); grandsons, Jeremy Gaskins and Alan Gaskins (Allison); as well as great-grandchildren, Ava Sullivan, Lila Ruth Hatcher, Bennett Hatcher, and Luke Gaskins. Sister Gerlene Turman. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.



Visitation was held Friday, June 11, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 12, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Hickman in Centerville. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 12, at 12 p.m. from the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial followed in Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview, TN.
